We are a struggling family of 6, myself, Andy and our four children, Cat 8, Teagan 6, Bella 3, and Joshua 1. I was laid of last May, Andy just lost his job last Friday. Last night, Monday Dec. 14th, while I was at work, we received a Christmas Jar. Andy was in the kitchen and there was a knock at the front door. Our oldest daughter Cat didn't wait for Andy to open it, which would normally make us mad, but not this time. Someone driving a white car handed her the book, and a jar full of change. When I came home from work Andy showed it to me and it made me cry. I am halfway done with the book, should finish it today, and we plan to give away a jar ourselves now. Thank you Jason Wright for sharing this miracle with our family, bless you and your family always!!!!

ReplyDeletethat is awesome and we have went through 2 layoffs in 1 year..so I know what you mean..it's just my husband and I but at 50 it's tough..we have no kids so no help..but we made it and he got a job in June,the day our grandson Gabriel was born :)..a good sign..I hope that things will look up for you and prayers to you.as we started our Christmas jar for next year ...beck
ReplyDeleteA couple Christmas's ago, my family and I were going through rough times, husband out of work, not able to pay bills, wasn't sure if how were even going to make Christmas happen. Then an envelope came, It was a Christmas Card with a surprise in it..money not only to make Christmas happen for our Children but extra to help with bills. God Truly blessed us that Christmas and we have been trying to do the same in different ways since...The Christmas Jar will be a part of our Christmas next year. Bless you and your Family this Christmas
ReplyDeleteMy husband has been off work since last Jan. and has gone through 2 surgeries. I was laid off last December and like Becca mentioned, it is tough to find employment after 50... But we saved all of our loose change, and along with a copy of the book, delivered our Christmas Jar yesterday. What a wonderful feeling to be the "giver". Though we have had a struggle the past year it wasn't hard to find someone that struggles and faces battles worse than we do.
ReplyDeleteYour book and idea of the Christmas Jar has spread hope and love to America....I hope you know that! I can't wait to put my Christmas jar at someone's doorstep on Christmas Eve. We are going on a long trip (13 hour drive) and we are going to just leave it somewhere and hope the recipient is blessed!

This book has blessed me so much. I just read it and already know who will receive a jar. Times are hard but God is so good. He has blessed us so much.
